Special Liveried Locomotives in Europe by Loc and More

With the “liberalization” of rail transport in Europe back in the 90s, there have been a lot of new rail transport related private companies:  leasing companies, private transport, logistics, etc.   And with that, we see the opportunity taken to push the limits on what a locomotive should look like, livery wise.

Loc and More is a company in Hungary founded by rail enthusiasts. They come up with and design fantastic specialty liveries as well as take jobs from clients for locomotive (and other) liveries, and also seem to actually work with installing/applying the liveries on the customer locomotives, as well as getting model locomotives with the liveries into the market.  While there may be other companies offering similar services, this is the one with which I am familiar, and which has been responsible for most of the special liveried locomotives I have or have planned to get in N-Scale.

I have posted on Instagram the “Kaiser Franz Josef” liveried Taurus locomotive.  It seems that this particular locomotive has now been redone, after 7-8 years, in the leasing company’s corporate color scheme:  (German language) Kaiser Franz Joseph und weitere 3 Tauri für CargoServ

Loc and More were also responsible for the “Europa one Grenzen” celebration locomotives, images of which I posted on Instagram this morning (meaning the Trix N-Scale version).

Additional Loc and More locomotives for the “Reunification of Germany” (German Language) and a celebration of “Vincent Van Gogh” (German Language) are very nice, and ones which I also have (Reunification I have as a Taurus) and will be reviewing and posting images on Instagram in the near future.

Special liveried locomotives are special items that can set your layout apart from others, and make it special and fun!

Japan also does special liveries — a lot.  I’ll be posting about those separately.

Do you have any special liveried locomotives from Europe?
